I never did see Six Days, Seven Nights at the theatre and I wish I did, it's an
enjoyable movie although it didn't do very well commercially, it's very good.
It's the
story of Robin Monroe (Anne Heche) a reporter for a magazine who comes to the islands of
Tahiti with her fiancée (David Schwimmer) for a little holiday.
While there she is
requested to go to the main island for an interview so she reluctantly goes with Quinn
Harris (Harrision Ford) along the way they hit a thunderstorm and crash.
Stuck in the
middle of nowhere on an uninhabited island they have to make do with what they have while
trying to find how to get off the island. Along the way they fall in love and meet some
very nasty pirates and animals. Fun stuff.

While not as good as Crimson Tide this
still is a very good transfer. There were a few artifacts during
the thunderstorm scene but that was the limit of major problems.
The colors were well saturated and the blacks were completely
solid, contrast was spot on as well. Good form.
Six Days, Seven Nights is framed
at 2:35:1 and is 16x9 enhanced.
This is a single-sided, single
layer disc.

This is a great Dolby Digital 5.1 mix. Every little sound effect is well mixed.
From music to ambient sounds to sound effects. This is a great lesson in
sound field
design. The surrounds were always active as was the bass .1 channel when it was required.
The dialog was very clear.

this disc.
