After a five year absence, Frank
Darabont has directed his second movie also based on a Stephen King
novella. The Green Mile is the story of Paul Edgecomb a head guard
in a death row prison. Over the years he has seen prisoners come and
go.
One day John Coffey arrives, he is
a man larger than life with a special gift. Filled with wonderful
writing and acting The Green Mile is just as good a movie as The
Shawshank Redemption, in some ways better. A must buy.

Just like it's predecessor,
the video on The Green Mile is of reference quality. The transfer is
sharp, colors are well rendered and there were no MPEG or film
artifacts.
The Green Mile is framed at
1:85:1 and is 16:9 enhanced.
This is a single-sided,
dual-layer disc.
The layer change occurs at the
99:16.

Again a wonderful
Dolby Digital 5.1 sound track is encoded on this disc. While there
is not a lot going on in the background what is there is very
subtle and really adds to the sound field.
