MOVIE
Here is a movie very much in the vain of Pulp Fiction. 3 different stories that intersect into one. So if you didn't like that style from Pulp Fiction your not going to like this one very much are you???

The first story is about a girl named Ronna.  Ronna works at a convenience store and need some extra cash so she swaps shifts with Simon because he has to go away to Las Vegas for the weekend. During her shift she meets two guys, Adam & Zack. They need some drugs for a party and there usual dealer is Simon but he has gone away so Ronna tries to make a deal for herself to make extra money. Things go very much wrong for Ronna and by the end of her story she has been hit by a car and left for dead.

The movie then shifts over to Simon and his antics in Las Vegas, from having sex with 2 women, setting fire to a hotel room, shooting a mobsters arm and then having to steal a Ferrari to get away, Simon's holiday certainly was busy and is definitely the funniest of the 3.

The final story center's around Adam & Zack yet again and partially goes over what was shown in the first story but the expands upon it so you can find out what happens to Ronna.

I enjoyed Go. It was well put together, well acted and well filmed and was not a waste of 90 minutes like some other movies out there today.  It also has to have one of the best main title dissolves of a movie I have seen as the Columbia logo fades out and into the movie seamlessly.

VIDEO
There's no doubt about it. This is a reference quality transfer. Shadow detail was perfect as were the colors, The transfer was very sharp and was very easy on the eyes. Top notch!

There were no MPEG artifacts present. The original print looked spotless as well.

Go is framed at 2:35:1 and is 16:9 enhanced.

This is an RSDL disc. The change occurs at 70:36.

AUDIO

Two soundtracks on this disc. English Dolby Digital 5.1 and German Dolby Digital 5.1. I listened to the English soundtrack.

Right from the start our ears are treated to an immersive sound field. The surrounds are used throughout as is the .1 channel and there is wonderful surround channel separation in some scenes. Definitely one of the better soundtracks as well. There is also a Dolby Digital 2.0 soundtrack for directors commentary.

EXTRAS
A good selection of extras.

Extras Include:
Theatrical Trailer:
A rocking Dolby Digital 5.1 surround encoded trailer framed at 1:85:1.

Feature Directors Commentary: Sorry to say I haven't listened to all of this yet. From the first 20 minutes I have heard it is very informative.

Featurette: A short and quite pointless featurette. More of an extended trailer really.

Deleted Scenes: 14 of them. Seems that most are still in the movie. Don't know how you would call all these deleted scenes.

Music Videos: There are 3 music videos on this disc. "New" by No Doubt, "Magic Carpet Ride" by Phillip Stier and Steppenwolf and "Steal My Sunshine" by Len. These are average videos.

Subtitles Include: Closed Captioned, German, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Icelandic, Hindi, Hebrew, Turkish, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Greek

FINAL THOUGHTS
A great movie on a great disc. Well worth the $39.95.
