Copland is about the town of Garrison, New Jersey. The town is run by
crooked New York City cops who live there and run the town. Freddy Heflin (Sylvester
Stallone) is the local
Sheriff who knows the score, he knows that they are crooked but remains quiet about it.
An incident occurs on a bridge and
one of the local officers kills 2 thugs, the officer commits suicide. An investigation ensues & it's up to Freddy to
choose which side of the law he should choose. His friends or his conscience.
This movie has great performances
from all involved Robert DeNiro as the New York City detective
trying to get, Ray Liotta, Harvey Kietel and Robert Patrick who
are just the little bit crooked.

Pretty good video quality here. There were some noticeable
artifacts
for the
first 10 or so minutes of the movie but it settled down after then. Color saturation and
contrast were spot on. Pretty good quality actually.
Copland is Framed at 1:85:1 and is 16:9 enhanced.
This is a Single Sided,
Single Layer
disc.

Like a lot of Miramax films, the soundstage is based more towards the front of
the soundstage. The sound is mixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 and it feels a little flat. The
surrounds mainly get used for ambient sounds but little more. The .1 channel barely made a
noise.

Standard Village Roadshow fare. A featurette, cast notes and a theatrical
trailer. The trailer is a window boxed DD2.0 trailer and is very good and sells the movie
superbly.
There are no subtitles on this disc.
