MOVIE |
Conspiracy Theory stars Mel Gibson as Jerry Fletcher, a New York cab driver who
believes in all the government conspiracies. He talks about the frequently to his
customers, but the one person he truly trusts is Alice Sutton (Julia Roberts) a Justice
Department attorney.
She thinks he is nuts, but one of his theories turn out to be true
and he seeks her help from the shady Dr. Jonas (Patrick Stewart) Which one of his theories
is correct?
How can 2 people beat a government who are trying to cover up one of there
mistakes? Watch it and find out.
Although some parts of the movie are a little far
fetched, it's still a fun little watch.

VIDEO |
Excellent quality actually, the whole movie seemed crystal clear and was free of
any MPEG noise and the dark scenes were very well rendered. And I would consider it to be one of the best
looking WB DVD's to date.
Conspiracy Theory is framed at 2:35:1 and is 16:9 enhanced.
This is a Single Sided, Single Layer
disc.

AUDIO |
Like all of the Warner Bros. discs so far the movie is presented in Dolby
Digital 5.1 and is very clear and presents a very dynamic sound field. Surrounds are used
quite frequently and very well, in both outdoor scenes and action scenes. This is a great
testament to the sound designers on the movie. The .1 channel was only really use in some
action scenes and also a very little bit to underscore the music score.

EXTRAS |
All there is extra's wise on this disc are production notes, cast bios and
that's about your lot. No trailer or nothing, it's really the only disappointing thing on
the disc.
Subtitles include: English, Arabic,
Closed Captions.
|
FINAL THOUGHTS |
This disc is a good buy, it's a fun movie, although a little far fetched
sometimes. The lack of extra features brings it's score down some. But the quality of the
visuals and sound do push this disc over the above average pile. |
