MOVIE
Good old Hollywood, they really know what to give the movie going public don't they. Good old action/buddy/comedy flicks to keep us entertained.

In case your wondering, I'm being sarcastic, in actual fact Hollywood will throw any old piece of tripe our way in order to make some money, that's not the sad thing.... The sad thing is we actually pay to watch this crap, so until we start waking up they will keep making pure crap.

The story premise sounds good but that's it. A jewel thief hides a diamond he has stolen in the air vent of a building under construction. 2 years later he gets out of the joint to retrieve the rock, but there is one slight problem, the building is a police station. Now the only way he can get it back is to fake himself as a cop while along the way solving crimes easily.

From here on it's a standard cliché driven movie to the end, this was obviously written by a chimp with a typewriter. I can't believe Martin Lawrence acted in this crap he's capable of so much more.

VIDEO
As usual a crap movie gets a wonderful reference quality transfer. Every last detail is so perfectly rendered it almost makes me weep with joy.

Blue Streak is framed at 1:85:1 and is 16:9 enhanced.

This is an single sided, dual layer disc.

AUDIO
Again a wonderful soundtrack encoded in Dolby Digital 5.1 in English, German & Hungarian. The sound steering in this movie is awesome and shows great depth and quality. The dialog was always easy to listen to.
EXTRAS
For 40 smackers this one is a little light on but much better than Warner Bros.

Theatrical Trailer: Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, 1:33:1 video. A standard trailer, seen better.

2 Making of Featurettes: Both run for about 20 minutes and are quite informative.

3 Music Videos:  Standard music video fare, not much cop.

The menus are also quite good on this disc.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Hmm, crap movie but a wonderfully outstanding disc. Lets call it even shall we.
