MOVIE |
Addicted to love, strange movie. It's the story of Sam (Matthew Broderick) and
Maggie (Meg Ryan), two people who come together after their respective partners Linda
(Kelly Preston) and Anton (Tchecky Karyo) dump each of them.
Sam wants his old girlfriend
back and Maggie just wants to exact revenge on her old boyfriend, so they move into an old
condemned building across from where the 2 ex's are living and precede to make Anton's
life a living hell.
What follows is a story of cockroaches, broken arms & ribs,
kissing monkeys and perfume squirting kids and new romance in between. Of course like
usual I won't spoil it for you, but it does become pretty predictable. You'll also love
the maggot story by the way. |
VIDEO |
Pretty standard fare actually, the movie is generally clean and is generally
sharp for 90% of the time. No MPEG
artifacts were present at all. There was also not much noise in
the original print.
Addicted To Love is framed at 1:85:1 and is 16:9 enhanced.
This is an Single Sided, Single
Layer disc.

AUDIO |
Addicted to love has been mixed as with all Warner discs I have seen so far in
Dolby Digital 5.1 which as always is a good thing. The sound in the movie itself was quite
good, the rear channels were used quite frequently, especially during scenes where music
is included and sound effects in the rear channels are utilized well when needed also.
|
EXTRAS |
Addicted to Love includes what I would consider an average set of extras, these
include the theatrical trailer, notes about the principal cast and filmmakers.
Subtitles included:
English, Arabic, Closed Captioned
|
FINAL THOUGHTS |
If your looking for a fun addition to you DVD collection, consider Addicted to
Love. While it's no reference type DVD to show off to your friends like some other movies,
it's still a good show and has just enough extras to put it into the above average pile. |
